Bird Series

I am presently working a grouping of small paintings of various birds found in Northern Ontario.  I like birds and enjoy painting them.  The reason I am painting them on small canvasses is because birds are small creatures on the scale of wildlife, so they lend themselves well to small canvasses - 8x10 - 8x8 - 6x6 inches...  I started first and foremost as a landscape artist because I love the rocky shores and windswept pines - I have spent many years expanding my knowledge of the painted landscape...  About eight years ago I painted a series of birds paintings but on 16x20 inch canvasses.  It just seems right this time to paint them on a smaller scale...  This is who I am...
