When I sit in my studio to create, I get lost in time. The brush seems to take a life of its own, the paints sit inside of my palette and stand ready to be applied to the canvas. It becomes a repetition of motions, from palette to canvas, repeat. I do return to reality when I am unsure of what color to apply, but once I do decide, I return to my place of comfort, with my head in the clouds. Painting is a meditative process, whereby my whole body, mind and soul become as light as a feather, floating through time. I am so fortunate to be an artist, to be this artist, to be me.
